กรมประมงประกาศ ปิดอ่าวไทยรูปตัว ก ปี 2568 เพื่ออนุรักษ์สัตว์น้ำในช่วงฤดูวางไข่และเลี้ยงตัวอ่อน ครอบคลุมพื้นที่ 8 จังหวัด ได้แก่ ประจวบคีรีขันธ์, เพชรบุรี, สมุทรสงคราม, สมุทรสาคร, กรุงเทพมหานคร, สมุทรปราการ, ฉะเชิงเทรา และชลบุรี แบ่งมาตรการออกเป็น 2 ช่วง

• ช่วงที่ 1: 15 มิ.ย. – 15 ส.ค. 2568 (ฝั่งตะวันตก)
• ช่วงที่ 2: 1 ส.ค. – 30 ก.ย. 2568 (ฝั่งเหนือ) 

ปีที่ผ่านมา พบว่ามาตรการช่วยเพิ่มปริมาณสัตว์น้ำกว่า 8,000 ตัน (เพิ่มขึ้น 4.1%) อนุญาตเฉพาะ เครื่องมือประมงบางประเภท เช่น อวนบางชนิด, ลอบปู, ลอบหมึก, ซั้ง, เครื่องมือคราดหอย ฯลฯ ตามที่กฎหมายกำหนด หากฝ่าฝืน มีโทษปรับตั้งแต่ 5,000 บาทถึง 30 ล้านบาท หรือ 5 เท่าของมูลค่าสัตว์น้ำที่จับได้

ข้อมูลวิชาการยืนยัน มาตรการปิดอ่าวช่วยเพิ่มผลผลิตสัตว์น้ำอย่างมีนัยสำคัญ โดยเฉพาะ ปลาทู, ปลาสีกุนเขียว, ปลาหลังเขียว, ปลามงโกรย

การปิดอ่าวช่วยให้ลูกปลาทูโตเต็มวัย มีโอกาสสืบพันธุ์ วางไข่ และรักษาวงจรชีวิตตามธรรมชาติ อธิบดีกรมประมงเน้นย้ำ การอนุรักษ์ทรัพยากรทะเลต้องอาศัยความร่วมมือจากชาวประมงและประชาชน พร้อมขอบคุณชาวประมงที่ให้ความร่วมมืออย่างดีในปีที่ผ่านมา

Department of Fisheries Announces "Closure of the Gulf of Thailand (C-shaped Area)" in 2025 to Strictly Protect Fish Spawning Season
• The Department of Fisheries has announced the closure of the Gulf of Thailand (C-shaped area) in 2025 to conserve marine life during the spawning and larval stages. The closure covers eight provinces: Prachuap Khiri Khan, Phetchaburi, Samut Songkhram, Samut Sakhon, Bangkok, Samut Prakan, Chachoengsao, and Chonburi.
• The measure is divided into two phases:
o Phase 1: June 15 – August 15, 2025 (Western Coast)
o Phase 2: August 1 – September 30, 2025 (Northern Coast)
• Last year, the measure helped increase marine stock by more than 8,000 tons (a 4.1% increase).
• Only certain types of fishing gear are permitted, such as specific nets, crab traps, squid traps, fish aggregating devices, shellfish rakes, etc., as specified by law.
• Violators will face fines ranging from 5,000 baht to 30 million baht, or five times the value of the captured marine animals.
• Scientific data confirms that the closure significantly boosts marine productivity, especially for short mackerel, Indian mackerel, round scad, and yellowtail scad.
• The closure allows juvenile short mackerel to grow to maturity, reproduce, and maintain their natural life cycle.
• The Director-General of the Department of Fisheries emphasizes that marine conservation requires cooperation from fishermen and the public, and extends gratitude to the fishermen for their excellent cooperation over the past year.
