อาการที่พบ
- เพลี้ยไฟพริกทั้งตัวอ่อนและตัวเต็มวัยจะใช้ปากเขี่ยดูดน้ำเลี้ยงจากยอดอ่อน ทำให้ยอดอ่อนหงิกงอและเกิดรอยสีน้ำตาลดำ เหี่ยวแห้ง
- หากเพลี้ยไฟทำลายส่วนดอก จะทำให้ดอกแคระแกร็นหรือกลีบดอกมีสีน้ำตาลไหม้ ซึ่งทำให้ดอกไม่ได้คุณภาพตามความต้องการของตลาด
แนวทางป้องกันกำจัด
- พ่นสารป้องกันกำจัดศัตรูพืชที่มีประสิทธิภาพในการป้องกันและกำจัดเพลี้ยไฟพริกในแปลงกุหลาบ หรือพืชอาหารรอบ ๆ แปลง เมื่อพบการระบาด เช่น
- สไปนีโทแรม 12% SC อัตรา 10-20 มิลลิลิตรต่อน้ำ 20 ลิตร
- ไซแอนทรานิลิโพรล 10% OD อัตรา 40 มิลลิลิตรต่อน้ำ 20 ลิตร
- คลอร์ฟีนาเพอร์ 10% SC อัตรา 30 มิลลิลิตรต่อน้ำ 20 ลิตร
- ฟิโพรนิล 5% SC อัตรา 30 มิลลิลิตรต่อน้ำ 20 ลิตร

Attention all rose growers
We would like to alert you to the potential outbreak of chilli thrips during the cool weather with morning fog and occasional light rain in some areas, particularly in the **flowering stage** of roses.
Symptoms of infestation
- Both larvae and adult thrips will use their piercing-sucking mouthparts to feed on the sap of the young shoots, causing the tips to become curled, with brownish-black spots and shriveled appearance.
- If the thrips damage the flowers, the blooms may become stunted or have brownish spots on the petals, which affects the quality and marketability of the flowers.
Prevention and Control measures
- Apply effective pesticides to control and prevent chilli thrips in rose fields or surrounding plants when an infestation is observed, such as:
- Spinetoram 12% SC at a rate of 10-20 milliliters per 20 liters of water
- Cyazypyr 10% OD at a rate of 40 milliliters per 20 liters of water
- Chlorfenapyr 10% SC at a rate of 30 milliliters per 20 liters of water
- Fipronil 5% SC at a rate of 30 milliliters per 20 liters of water
